SonicWALL Mobile Connect™

SonicWALL® Mobile Connect™ unified client app for iOS, downloadable from the App StoreSM, lets Apple® iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod touch® users connect safely to work or school networks over encrypted SSL VPN connections to ensure confidentiality and data integrity for users outside the network perimeter. Used in conjunction with SonicWALL Next-Generation Firewalls, it creates a Clean VPN™ that scans and cleans malware embedded in iOS traffic before it enters the network. Additionally, SonicWALL Application Intelligence and Control lets IT define and control application and bandwidth usage. When connecting over a wireless connection inside the network, Mobile Connect enforces WiFi security and control in adherence with organizational policies. SMB Spike License Pack.

The SonicWALL® SMB Spike License Pack is an add-on license that enables distributed businesses to increase remote user count immediately in the event of emergencies, business disruptions or seasonal spikes, enabling seamless business continuity.

Seamless integration.

Regardless of whether an organization chooses a gateway SonicWALL® firewall or a third-party firewall, remote access is as easy as can be. Because SonicWALL® Secure Remote Access Series and SonicWALL Aventail E-Class Secure Remote Access Series (SRA) appliances operate separately from the firewall function, they are compatible with virtually any firewall on the market.

Clientless connectivity.

The Internet has made it possible for remote workers to travel the world and still have access to the network, from virtually anyplace on the planet. Your authorized employees, partners or trusted clients can use SonicWALL SRA to securely plug into your network from home, the road, or even from on top of a remote mountain retreat. It doesn't matter, as long as there's Internet access and a Web browser available.

NetExtender technology.

The beauty of SSL VPN is that it is Web-based and does not require administrators to preinstall a "fat" client on each remote workstation. This allows for a much greater level of flexibility and a much broader level of access. Using a standard Web browser, remote users launch a personalized Web portal for access to email, files, applications, and internal Web sites (intranet). However, there are some applications where a fat client may bring some advantages. IPSec may be especially useful in areas where the IT administrator tightly controls and manages only a small number of remote workstations. The advantage of the fat client VPN system is that administrators can allow users to have a greater level of access. Now, users can have the best of both worlds with SonicWALL NetExtender "thin" client technology.

Granular policy configuration.

The concept behind SonicWALL® Secure Remote Access Series and SonicWALL Aventail E-Class Secure Remote Access Series (SRA) appliances is to allow remote users to gain access to the network from any location. However, all users are different. Traveling executives may need access to sensitive corporate data, while at the same time, an administrator may wish to allow a partner access to the VPN, but wants to restrict that partner's access to only viewing an inventory database. SonicWALL SRA appliances work at the application layer and therefore allow an administrator to lock down each remote user to specific applications and resources, to prevent unauthorized access, and to make sure that those users have access to only what corporate policy allows. In addition, SonicWALL SRA features SonicWALL® Unified Policy, which displays granular bookmarks and policies in one centralized page, thus streamlining configuration, troubleshooting and administrative overhead.

Personalized Web portal.

The personalized portal serves two purposes; first, it displays only those assets that each user is authorized to access based on corporate policy, and second, it provides an easy to use interface to make the end-user experience simple and straightforward.

Easy Web management.

The Web management interface for SonicWALL® Secure Remote Access Series and SonicWALL Aventail E-Class Secure Remote Access Series (SRA) appliances is simple to deploy and manage. The easy-to-use GUI makes configuration, monitoring and updating the appliance and user policies easy and straightforward. In addition, the administrator can take advantage of the granular policy configuration capabilities to gain complete control over user access to resources. The SonicWALL SRA 4200 offers stackable licenses of 10, 25 and 100 concurrent users, while the SonicWALL SRA 1200 offers stackable licenses of 1, 5 and 10 concurrent users, providing flexible scalability as needed.

Virtual Assist/Virtual Access.

SonicWALL® Virtual Assist/Virtual Access1 makes it easy for remote employees to stay connected and get support when they need it. Virtual Assist opens up the possibility for a technician to provide on-demand technical assistance for laptop or desktop issues to a customer via a Web browser. Virtual Access makes it easy for remote users to take control of their unattended Windows-based computers for increased productivity. The elimination of the need to pre-install a "fat" client makes the experience less frustrating and time consuming for both parties. This produces faster time-to-resolution thereby increasing customer satisfaction as well as technician productivity. The result is an opportunity to grow your business. This appliance-based solution seamlessly integrates into an existing network and authentication infrastructure. The solution does not require complicated policies to be set on your primary firewall or gateway devices. Additionally, administrators can use the granular policy controls on the SonicWALL Secure Remote Access (SRA) appliance to enforce local or external authentication for technicians.

Tokenless two-factor authentication.

One of the many enhanced features found in SonicWALL® Secure Remote Access (SRA) solutions is end-user authentication, either through an internal database or through integration with one of many dynamic authentication methods, including VASCO, RSA1, Active Directory, RADIUS and LDAP. SonicWALL SRA solutions notify users prior to password expiration, and can change passwords before or after expiration, even when part of a Microsoft® Active Directory domain. SonicWALL SRA solutions offer support for Active Directory nested groups, as well as TLS/SSL support for LDAP/AD. In addition, all appliances offer tokenless two-factor authentication as part of the standard feature set.

Enhanced layered security.

Organizations can deploy SonicWALL® Secure Remote Access Series and SonicWALL Aventail E-Class Secure Remote Access Series (SRA) appliances successfully with virtually any firewall. However, when deployed with a SonicWALL network security appliance, an administrator gets enhanced layered security and deep packet inspection technology, which inspects all traffic fully for content-based threats such as viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware and other malicious threats. The SonicWALL Web Application Firewall (WAF) Service detects and protects Web applications (including the SSL VPN appliance itself) from Web-based attacks, reducing potential losses and adhering to data protection compliance mandates.

Web Application Firewall.

A complete, affordable, out-of-box compliance solution, SonicWALL® Web Application Firewall Service leverages existing infrastructure as a licensable add-on module to the SonicWALL Secure Remote Access platform. Utilizing a dynamically updated signature database to detect sophisticated Web-based attacks and protect Web applications (including SSL VPN portals, SonicWALL Web Application Firewall Service applies reverse proxy analysis of Layer 7 traffic against known signatures, denies access upon detecting Web application malware, and redirects users to an explanatory error page.

Redundancy and load balancing.

Many businesses face the challenge of being required to scale to meet the demands of hundreds and thousands of concurrent  requests every second. They are also required to keep their services  (core remote access, WAF and Virtual Assist/Access) running with very  minimal downtime, as well as being able to offer access to the  intranet  in a reliable and secure fashion. Features like Load Balancing and High Availability (HA) play an important role in solving these challenges.

Centralized management and reporting.

SonicWALL's management and reporting solutions such as the SonicWALL Global Management System and SonicWALL Analyzer provide a comprehensive architecture for centrally creating and managing remote access policies, providing real-time monitoring, logging and analyzing remote access activity by user, and delivering intuitive reports.
